( Eddie really hadn't been sure if Steve would believe him, so when he insists that he does, it throws him off guard. He had been prepared for an argument, and for Eddie to have to find somewhere else to lie low, or less dramatically, for Steve to push back and suggest he go see a psych doctor for his head.

But no, Steve just accepts what he says and pulls him inside. He stares at Steve with a mixture of relief and concern, like maybe this isn't the first time Steve has had an encounter with the seemingly unexplainable.
